Degree ( Black Belt ) Qualification
First Degree: 1. Time requirements between 18 and 36months. Dependent upon the individual and the amount of practice time, thismay vary. If you have previous experience in other Martial Arts styles the minimum time may be reduced for Taekuk Musul. 2. Minimum of 432 hours of practice. 3. Strong knowledge of and improvement of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques. 4. Demonstrate teaching skills. 5. Demonstrate leadership skills. 6. Demonstrate 1st degree BLACK BELT forms. showing stances, hand placement, balance, agility, and a firm knowledge of the forms 7. Demonstrate hand techniques. 8. Verify Tournament Competition at least six times. 9. Write up to one page on why you personally want to be a black belt in Taekuk Musul. 10. Requires Master's or Instructor's consent to test.
Second Degree: 1. Time requirements between 24 and 36 month. 2. Minimum of 24 months as a 1st degree BLACK BELT. If you have previous experience in other Martial Arts styles the minimum time may be reduced in Taekuk Musul. 3. Minimum of 288 hours of practice. 4. Strong knowledge of and improvement of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques. 5. Demonstrate teaching skills. 6. Demonstrate leadership skills. 7. Demonstrate 2nd degree BLACK BELT forms, showing stances, hand placement, balance, agility, and a firm knowledge of the forms 8. Demonstrate hand techniques. 9. Competition or referee experience musy be verified at least 6 times. 10. Verify Martial Arts class teaching experience, minimum 144 hours. 11. Write up to two pages on what constitutes a good black belt. 12. Requires Master's or Instructor's consent to test.
Third Degree: 1. Time requirements between 36 and 48 months. 2. Minimum of 36 months as a 2nd degree BLACK BELT If you have previous experience in other Martial Arts styles the minimum time may be reduced in Taekuk Musul. 3. Minimum of 432 hours of practice. 4. Expert knowledge of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques. 5. Improved knowledge of 1st to 2nd degree BLACK BELT forms and hand techniques. 6. Demonstrate teaching skills. 7. Write up to three or four pages on soft movement versus hard movement and circular movement versus straight movement and which you feel is best and why. 13. Requires Master's or Instructor's consent to test.
Fourth Degree: 1. Time requirements between 48 and 60 months. 2. Minimum of 48 months as a 3rd degree BLACK BELT. If you have experience in other Martial Arts styles the minimum time may be reduced in Taekuk Musul. 3. Minimum of 576 hours of practice. 4. Expert knowledge of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques. 5. Expert knowledge of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree BLACK BELT forms and hand techniques. 6. Demonstrate teaching skills. 7. Demonstrate leadership skills. 8. Demonstrate 4th degree BLACK BELT forms. 9. Write up to four or five pages on the attributes of martial arts and how it relates to a person. 13. Requires Master's or Instructor's consent to test.
Fifth Degree: 1. Time requirements between 60 and 72 months. 2. Minimum of 60 months as a 4th degeree BLACK BELT. MASTER'S knowledge of all NUDER BLACK BELT techniques. 5. MASTER'S knowledge of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th degree BLACK BELT forms and hand techniques. 6, Demonstrate MASTER teaching skills. 7. Sixth Degree: 1. Time requirements. between 84 and 96 months. 2. Minimum of 84 months as a 5th degree BLACK BELT. Write a medium dissertation on the teaching of martial arts. 14. Requires Master's consent to test.
Seventh Degree: 1. Time requirements between 120 and 132 months. 2. Minimum of 120 months as a 6th degree BLACK BELT. If you have previous experience in other Martial Arts style the minimum time may be acceptable. 3. Minimum of 1440 hours fo practice. 4. MSTER'S knowledge of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques. 5. MASTER'S knowledge of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th degree BLACK BELT forms and hand techniques. 6. Demonstrate MASTER teaching skills. 7. Demonstrate MASTER leadership skills. 8. Verify Martial Arts class teaching experience, minimum 770 hours 12. Conduct Martial Arts techniques seminar 10 times ( once yearly ) 13. Write a long dissertation on the true art of self-defense and why a person might say that in the true art of self-defense there is no physical contact. 14. Requires Master's cinsent to test.
Eighth Degree: 1. Time requirements between 132 and 144 months. 2. Minimum of 132 months as a 7th degree BLACK BELT. Write a long dissertation on the five elements and how it relates to martial artsl. 14. Requires Master's consent to test.
Nineth Degree: 1. Time requirements between 144 and 156 months. 2. Minimum of 144 months as a 8th degree BLACK BELT. If you have previous experience in other Martial Arts styles the minimum time may be reduced in Taekuk Musul. 3. Minimum of 1728 hours of practice. 4. INSTRUCTOER CERTIFY QULIFICATIONS
First Degree = Jr. Assistant Instructor Requirements 1. Must be a black belt for at least 6 months. 2. Previous experience in other Martial Arts styles may be acceptable. Each person is weighed and evaluated on an individual bases. Consideration is taken and depends upon what was studied, the length of time studied, and ending belt rank. 3. Must have a strong knowledge of all UNDER BLACK BELT techniques with an on going current study and improvement of martial arts knowledge, techniques, and skills. 4. Demonstrate teaching skills. 5. Demonstrate leadership skills. 6. Demonstrate 1st degree BLACK BELT forms, showing stances, hand placement, balance, agility demonstrate a firms knowledge of the forms. 7. Demonstrate hand techniques. 8. Should have competed in at least six competitions. 9. Write a short article (report) on what you think good martial art teaching skills are. 10. Requires Master's or Instructor's consent to test.
